The
French Lawyers in the Firm advise, in London,
on French law, including French property and inheritance law, French
tax, succession duty and related topics for private or corporate
clients and/or their advisers buying, selling, mortgaging and/or
charging French commercial or residential property. Typically that
advice will be on contracts, conveyancing, procedure, inheritance,
planning, rights of inheritance and related French tax. Additionally
we form and administer legal structures to buy and hold French
properties, including French corporate vehicles. We advise on sales,
mortgaging, loans, the administration of estates, and inevitably,
other issues arising from French property ownership, such as
employment, planning law, developments, finance, tax, and
litigation. Nearly all of this work is handled by us internally,
without recourse to foreign lawyers or agents (except litigation and
some tax work). We are independent and take no commissions or
inducements from any source. We have full professional indemnity
cover.
Our
considerable experience and reputation has been established over 30
years.
Our
Clients come from a whole variety of sources - word of mouth,
referrals from French notaires, estate agents, solicitors, banks and
existing and former clients. We promote our services selectively,
publish legal articles, lecture and produce brochures on a range of
relevant French legal topics. Please contact us for more information
on our publications.
Before starting work on a
job, we will provide a Client care letter to all prospective
Clients, including our fees, and, where possible, will also give an
estimate of the charges likely to be incurred.
